After watching the entire film, I don't think it's fair that you are not getting a proper critique. Especially how you worked very hard on this film. Like 2 years?! That is some commitment!! I'll first point out all the things that are good about it.
1. The pacing of the film is done to perfection.
2. I like how you tried to make it look 3D.
3. Voice acting was excellent.
4. Some parts were ambitious, like the dreaming part.
5. Your commitment.

But of course, I'm not that type of person that thinks that everything is good about it, and those who disagree must burn in a furnace!
I can understand why people aren't really appreciating the work.

First of all, the story is cliche. I don't think a family documentation is worthy of a story: Especially when it is 30 minutes long.
Something that is cliche can translate to boring. This quite possibly means that many people didn't stick around to watch the whole thing.

Characters are okay: I guess people just find it that way.

The film is long but simple: There is not much to say about it honestly.
But don't feel let down, just do the things you enjoy doing!
